What Is Your Love Element?
When work is finished and whenever I need a break from my story or the thoughts that play like crazy over and over on my mind, I usually get hooked onto quizzes. As in quiz addict ako, from personality tests, to IQ exams hanggang umabot ako sa mga quiz na kagaya ng, “What element is your love?” And you know what, it’s not such a bad addiction after all. Nakakatuwa finding out some stuff about yourself. And here’s the result of what kind of element my love is. ^_^

Real Moms Are Those Who
I haven’t posted for a long time because of one reason: Animax Awards. ‘Nuff said, let’s go on with this post since Cat tagged me for this one. Thanks Cat! I’m copying the first part (RE: RULES) from your post because I’m too lazy. Teehee.
Here are the rules:
- Put up a post “Real Moms” (insert what they do here)
- Followed by an explanation, a picture(uhmm, I guess this one is optional), and a “Real Moms”. —> Definitely optional yung picture in my case!
- “I have to tag 5 willing or unwilling bloggers, to maintain the meme” so people, tag away!
Now on with the meme:
Real Moms are those who can love and care for a child deeply whether or not that child is biologically theirs or someone else’s. She nurtures a child not because it’s her duty but because she has a loving heart. Angelina Jolie is this type of mom.
Real moms are those who can raise a child with pride, even on her own. Go Kaye!
Real Moms are those who think only about the best interests of her child but would have a soft enough heart to listen to what her child might think best.
Real Moms are those who can be silly and paranoid and even temperamental especially when her kids are growing up or are grown up… and yet still have a big enough heart to laugh, forgive and forget the past.
And to conclude this meme, Real Moms are those wonderful females who gave birth to you, fed you, raised you, educated you and stuck with you through your first pimple, period, boyfriend and so on.
Long live the Queen– I mean, the moms!
Okay, now the hard part, tagging people. Sorry but this will be a random thing to inflict on people from my blogroll, nyahahaha! First I pick Arch (kasi summer vacation naman), Rina, Carlotta and I pick Pippin who is dying for everyone to visit his blog and another random victim, Geno. Nyahahahaha!
Just a side note, I might be changing my blog format– I’ve been having a difficult time maintaining two blogs (and a very popular anime blog at that) so LivingTodayInThePresent’s posts might be different in the days to come. Instead of long-winded rants, posts, baka lists na lang. Hehe.
Btw, after a week of dating, I’ve decided: TO GO BACK TO MY CAVE AND HIBERNATE! Read the rest of this entry »
Blogsphere and Beyond
How do I start this post, many days after missing from blogsphere? Hmmm, here’s the best way I guess…. DAMN, I MISSED MY BLOG!
The Holy Week for me was truly a time for (forced) penance and reflection. After a whole day of station of the Cross and Bisita Iglesia and with confessions and masses attended, my parents whisked me and my brother off to Tagaytay for some “family bonding” time which ended up being sleep all day and pig out time. I also gave up drinking coke for the Holy Week (SOB!) so for a whole week, meals felt incomplete and unsatisfying.
While the whole Tagaytay vacation was not a total loss since I managed to add more pages to the story I’m working on– going back to work last Tuesday drove me nuts because so much work piled up. So two days later now, I’ve managed to finish everything so I can write once more. Hooray!
So what’s new with me?
1. I did a horror movie marathon Black Saturday. I saw The Grudge 1 & 2. I caught the SAW movies, The Eye, and Ring 0. Does Dead or Alive the movie belong to the horror genre? Because geez, I was ready to scream at the endless booty shots!
2. I have an article up at inquirerblogger.net’s Hackenslash site. What’s it about? ANIME! Do check it out at http://inquirerbloggers.net/hackenslash/2007/04/11/cosplay-heaven-at-ozine-fest-07 . Now that’s one of the things keeping me busy.
3. My story for Animax Awards is officially titled “YUME ONNA”. My best friend and Simon-ish best friend is reading it. His comment almost made me cry (in joy & frustration over being woken up) when it came in at 1:52 AM, “I love it! Waaaaah! Yuel is so annoyingly kawaii (cute)! Pero ang ganda joan! Bilis! Can’t wait!” Now that is music to my ears! Any proofreaders out there? That’s another thing keeping me busy.
4. I’ll be watching 300 for the 4th time this Friday. Kyaaaaaaaaaah! Ay, mali pala! Awhoo! Awhoo! Awhoo!
5. I broke my dating abstinence rule this week. In my decision to re-enter the crazy world of dating, Jojo’s song “How To Touch A Girl” has been playing like crazy over and over in my mind. I really do hope I find someone who knows how to touch a girl’s heart. Hehehe. ^_^
Rewind & Reverse
OHMYGOODLORD.
“…………………………………….”
Okay, my mind’s still reeling from two very separate issues but let me start with the more personal one.
I ran into my first boyfriend on my way out to buy lunch in Jollibee yesterday. And can I just say again, OHMYGOSH. I’m actually wearing a very silly grin right now and these feelings stirring inside me feels ageless. I haven’t felt this way in a long time, the sweetness of remembering your first love. And it was sweet, hearing his voice again and seeing all the changes in him. Well, I guess I just rattled a bit when he sort of swooped down and kissed my forehead– I think there was a one-armed hug thrown in somewhere but I was totally disoriented by the exuberance of his greeting. But it was the “after” conversation that still makes me cringe to this minute. The first few minutes was fine, it was still fun hearing from him. But towards the end, I wanted to ask for his number and maybe even tell him that if he’s not so busy, maybe we can hang out and catch up. But I more or less ended up lamely saying, “Hey, I’m just in Enterprise…” and I more or less gave him my number because I told him to keep me informed if he’s gonna be in a play again. AGHHHHHHHHHH! Couldn’t I have been cool enough for once to have just simply said, “It was really nice seeing you, maybe we should catch up sometime when you’re free?” But alas, the geek deeply ingrained in me has caught my tongue and left me speechless.
Now, here’s the second part of my rant. Kubo Tite, the mangaka of Bleach has apparently, KILLED OFF RUKIA!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOO (insert more O’s here)! I can’t freaking believe it!!! But the latest chapter, Chapter 269-The End Is Near, Rukia and the espada with the face of Kaien killed each other off. The espada’s body has disintegrated and Rukia was last seen with a broken sword in her stomach, bleeding heavily as she said that she’s coming for Inoue. But then the last panel showed her broken sword’s spirit leaving, signifying that the sword’s owner is dead or near death. *SOBS!!!!!* No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s like my worst dream— Rukia dying to make way for an Ichigox Orihime pairing. Kubo Tite, reverse this damage or I shall never watch/read Bleach again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Weekend
I can’t imagine a better weekend than what I’ve had these last few days.
First, the family trip got cancelled so I was able to push through with dinner plans with high school friends. Hooray!!!! It was great totally pigging out last Saturday in Makati. As we waited for our other friends, Laurice, Bryan and I had our first appetizers at Cafe Breton in Greenbelt 3. We ordered something light and sweet. I had fresh mango shake with milk and got the butter and sugar crepe. Bryan ordered the same crepe and added a blue berry ice cream to his order. Laurice opted to try the Strawberry Sundae. While waiting for our order I got addicted to Bryan’s cellphone game, Zuma and was autistic for the rest of the night doing nothing but playing and eating. After we met up with Maika, we headed towards Gilligan’s in Park Square. There we ordered the set A which already had fixed dishes of teriyaki chicken, sisig, pork barbeque and scallops. We also ordered two plates of rice to go with our mini-feast and an order of my favorite, Better Than Chicharon. Yvette got to Gilligan’s by the time Maika left and we stayed there for three hours, powering our way through the food until not a morsel was left. With our faces and bellies stuffed, we decided to walk around Greenbelt before going to Fuzion for coffee and dessert. Because our stomachs were already stretched to the limit, we decided to share desserts. I ordered white coffee and split a rocky road mudpie with Laurice who ordered cafe mocha. Bryan got the triple chocolate smoothie and split a cheesecake with Yvette who also ordered a fat burning tea. But of course, a long and serious food trip like that also meant that the ride home was also the shortest and the fastest. Hehe. ^_^
Another bright spot last weekend was finally, after two weeks of silence, Michiko has finally contacted me! *tears of happiness* I actually wasn’t able to read the email she sent me Friday evening but she texted me on Saturday morning to ask how I was doing and to tell me that she sent me an email. And yes, she’s back enough to tell me she wants to continue the story we made together. Uwaaaaah! ^_^ And I have so many things I want to tell her, especially about out anime blog. When she gets back here in Manila, she owes me a sleepover plus a long discussion of our plans.
Third happy weekend moment, the Otakuzine anime event in Megamall. I was with Gus from morning til late afternoon but only because he had to leave me alone for his, ehem date. MegaTrade Hall was packed to the rafters with anime fanatics, cosplayers and posers. Why did I say posers? Well, these are the people who only know anime on a superficial level and who only watch dubbed ones. But truly, the event was so much fun! I was in super fangirl mode on for hours! I even managed to convince Gus to wear the Poring (from Ragnarok) suit and wrestle with a kid! Bwahahaha! More details on the anime event on Otaku Shrine.
Cheers to a truly wonderful weekend!
