Blogbites: Okay Now

After days of no updates on this blog, I come back with great news, I’m okay, I really truly am okay. Read on to find out why.

Blogbite 1. A Happy Birthday. While I moped and whined and sulked all thoughout last week, I’m really glad my self-imposed misery paid off, I had such a wonderful birthday where everything that matters came about. I realized that night, that I truly am blessed with the most wonderful friends in the planet, in the galaxy even. Here’s a recap: after acing my finals exam in Constitutional Law, I ran like the wind to Greenhills to meet up with Scarlet, Bheng and Jen. Gus said he’ll be running late but I didn’t mind because I was running pretty late myself. My friend all come from lands far, far away that meetings are limited and infrequent so I was really glad all of them (at least the ones closest to my heart) were able to take time to be with me on my special day. After meeting them, they took me shopping and guess what, “kikay-fied” me by dressing me up in a miniskirt (mind you, it was darn short!), pulling my lac bolero off my top, putting a little color on my face (mostly just blush-on, lip gloss and mascara) and fixing my unmanageable hair. Walking into the restaurant, all made-up with my friends behind me, I felt so beautifully blessed. My parents even commented its been a long time since they’ve seen me fix myself up but I figured that the make-over wasn’t merely physical because throughout the night, I wasn’t able to stop smiling.  I’m okay now, many thanks to Scarlet, Bheng, Gus and Jen.

Blogbite 2. After party.  After dinner and a round of drinks with Gus, I then met up with Michiko who’ll be staying over at my place. Frankly, i really didn’t think I’d have more fun than the dinner and shopping and bonding I did with Gus and the others but I was wrong, it’s awesome being with someone I can let my hair down (as compared to being fixed up before but it was also great) and geek out with on anime. So we had an anime marathon, from 10Pm to 5Am watching Bleach, Aishiteruze Baby and Honey and Clover. UWAA!!!!! It was so much fun and every second was like an antibiotic that chased away all festering wounds and completely closed my scars. Having their presence was the best birthday gift ever, it means much, much more to me than clothes, bags, shoes, cell phones or any other material things. It truly is the person, and their presence that counts and not the things money can buy. Read the rest of this entry »
