And Nothing
Talk is cheap. Anybody can say “I’m sorry”, “I love you”, “I’ll be here for you” with little to no sincerity at all. It’s infuriating how vulnerable one can be against tender words like that and especially if used by one who is precious to them.
Talk is cheap. Especially when you say “I’m sorry” after the damage has been done. Sometimes, late reactions and apologies are better left unsaid.
Talk is cheap and nothing except actions could ever make up for the wounds inflicted, the choices made and the heart shattered.
And nothing else matters. This is the last time I’ll be speaking of this, because after all, talk is cheap.

Yes. Talk is often cheap.
But a lot of times, it’s the closure that we need.
So be thankful for the cheap talk; it makes life ahead worth it.
