Log-rolling: Clarity
Blogbite 1: Nearing the end of a four (4) hour lecture which ran straight, no restroom breaks or food breaks– my cell phone died, my eyes watered from the strain, my stomach began protesting its status and my rear end went numb. All in all though, in that organ-failing, brain-numbing experience, I really learned a lot. Seriously. It was review for the Bar Ops so some of us (freshmen) got the chance to sit in and see future subjects under Civil Law. While it was pretty much a blur in the beginning, intestate succesions, oppositors, wills, legitimes, etc… clarity dawned subsequently. I’m not a huge fan of Civil Law, I much preferred the complexities of Criminal Law but last night, it finally seemed like an interesting puzzle. One that I look forward to in the following days. The Escapist
As of now, my troubles have not yet been firmly resolved, in fact, I think I’m running away from my situation again. What is it about matter of the heart that turns me into a cowardly blithering idiot?
So fine, HE texted me yesterday after two days of silence. Like nothing happened. And like a moron, I can only hold onto my anger for too long and I think somewhere between yesterday afternoon and evening, I lost my resolve to break up. From spitting mad to irked– my mood changed dramatically. And I think its because of one thing– ANIME.
Yup, my passion for anime has been ignited to a much higher level after learning that I can finally purchase “20 Mensou Ni Onegai” through my officemate’s amazon account. I’ve been searching for that manga for years and the fact that it has only 2 volumes and that it was published in 2001… well, it’s pretty easy to say that the search has been frustrating and futile. That was of course, until yesterday. I accidentally stumbled on volumes of “20 Mensou Ni Onegai” and BAM! I had to have it, it was frutrating yesterday because a lot of it was currently unavailable until Sir Iking today told me to look at the used section. And there it was, ranging from $2.22 to $7.99, the two volumes of Akira & Utako’s story in good condition. My search has finally ended.
I’ll Find Love Again
“Until one morning, I’ll wake up and find I’m thinking about something else, and then I’ll know the worst is over. My heart might be bruised but it will recover and become capable of seeing the beauty of life once more. It happened before, it will happen again, I’m sure. When someone leaves, its because someone is about to arrive.”
Paulo Coelho, The Zahir
No Time
The watch he gave her for her graduation suddenly stopped working.
For over a month, she’s been telling her boyfriend to have it fixed. Time and time again, she would bring the precious watch only to have him give it back to her abruptly.
I have no time to fix it.
She waited for three days.
Still no time.
She waited for a week.
Still no time.
She waited for two weeks.
Still no time.
She waited for three weeks.
Still no time.
And on the fourth week, after days of not seeing him, with only a handful of hours spent together which have been rushed–she came to him, the watch held tightly in her hand. “Love, please fix this watch you gave me?”
He barely glanced at her, irritated by her mere presence. “Don’t bug me right now, I’m studying for work.”
Still no time.
One day, he went to his office, his mind preoccupied with the work to be done, priorities to be met and then he found a small box sitting squarely on his desk. He opened it and read a note with a single line written on it,
“TIME HAS STOPPED FOR US.”
And inside was the watch he gave, where time no longer ran.
You Have Lost Me
You have lost me
In the vast ocean of driving ambition & conflicting schedules
You have lost me
In the deep wilderness of your apathy and indifference
You have lost me
In the infinite galaxy of your priorities, none of which are me
You have lost me
In the cruel desert of silent phones, unmade calls
and empty messages
You have lost me
In the frigid winter of unaccounted hours, lost minutes
and wasted seconds
You have lost me and
now my heart is learning to forget you
If some day you wake up and you realize
That you want me back in your life
Then you shall have to seek me
As though I was your Holy Grail
